Must have wedding photos checklist by a Wedding Photographer in San Jose, CA.

Getting married at a vineyard and looking for some cool ideas and inspiration? From flowers to table decorations, from photography poses for wedding couple in a vineyard to family formals, here are some of the must-have wedding photos shortlist to devour over a bubbly. These are my favourite pictures from Mitchell & Maja's Wedding I second shot for celebrated wedding photographer Kenny Wong.

Bridal Shoes - So what if they are not your typical Carrie Bradshaw's blue satin pumps? Key to best wedding photography checklist must begin with the bridal shoes.

Natural white & green bridal bouquet along with pheasant feathers for added texture are your perfect picture prop.

Unplugged Wedding Photography - Yes make sure you capture the details like this for keepsake in the wedding album.
Getting ready photos - I really enjoyed being part of this commotion in the bridal suite. It's stressful for everyone so you as a photographer have to be really quiet and keep capturing some really fun wedding photos.

I focused on getting all the set up pictures early in the morning as the light was perfect as the ceremony was starting at 10 am leading to really harsh light.

Beautiful winery tucked away near the rolling hills of Livermore in California. #ellistonvineyards
String Duo - getting ready for the early morning wedding ceremony at Elliston winery.
Elliston Vineyard Interiors are a perfect backdrop for bride and groom's portrait. Make sure you book the room with piano though. They are pretty strict about which room you can use to photograph unless you have booked it beforehand.
Pre ceremony emotions - Caught just in time when the bride was reading an emotional note from her father-in-law... I think:)
Bride at the window - It was a perfect opportunity when she was looking for someone outside, so you think. Nah we just asked her to pose:)
To my new dad - a wonderful thank you note from the bride to her father-in-law...isn't amazing?
Bride looking into the mirror - This is my personal favourite moment and I always strive to capture this for pretty much every wedding I photograph.

The Vows - Happy bride recites her vows. God bless her!
The Vows by the Groom
Mr & Mrs - Wedding couple portrait photography at Elliston Winery, Sunol, CA.
White chairs and green bouquets being set up for the wedding ceremony.
Awesome Bridesmaid Photo Ideas - My lead photographer here Kenny asked the right question instead of commanding how to and what to do.
Portraits of Bride & the Groom at Elliston Winery - One thing I would follow in future is to do the couple portraits before the family shots. This particular wedding, we were left with less than 5 minutes which didn't allow much time for creativity.
Bride no matter what gets all the attention but don't forget to share the love with groom and his best men too. Picture taken at Elliston Vineyard in Sunol. CA.

Creative wedding photo ideas for a wedding you may shoot in a winery.
Wedding stationery inspiration found on tissue paper.
Wedding speech by the groom - You can't miss this!
Couple cutting the wedding cake - This picture was shot through the glass and that's why you see the reflection of trees outside. I learnt this trick by shooting with another famous photographers Faraz and Hunaid in Bay Area.
Speeches continued...
Finally the bouquet toss ...
And her best friend caught it. Note to self: Talk to the bride and get the bouquet toss in an open space to capture the action from above. My lead photographer kenny on the left in the photo....can you spot him?
Garter toss - Groom Mitchell removes the brides wedding garter. Fun tradition to photograph.
First Dance Wedding Shots
I took this photo through the flower arrangement to isolate the subject from rest of the audience. You could try adding anything available in the room to add a bit of interest.
First dance picture with people behind the groom and the bride. The green shadow you see is the deliberate use of leaves to add some fun.

So the wedding photos you have seen are actually in the order of the event was captured. The only part that you see posed were formal pictures of bride, groom, bridal party and family. I could certainly do a lot more and a lot better especially with bride and groom's portraits but I guess it just doesn't go as planned most of the time.

Equipment used: Sony a7ii with 35mm, Nikon D800 with 70-200mm, 24-70 and SB700 speedlight.

Kenny Wong at KDW Photos- I second shot this wedding for renowned Kenny Wong, Wedding photographer in San Jose, California.
