## Q. What is the best time to get married at SF city hall?

A. Civil and Marriage Ceremony appointments are available every half hour between 9 a.m. through 3:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday.

Tip: If photography is your priority, I highly recommend to book for the last appointment at 3 or 3.30 pm on Tuesday or Wednesday. This will give us plenty of time to photograph your post wedding or elopement pictures in the exquisite setting without horde of tourists or other wedding parties. Read more general information on on county clerk's website.

Q. How long does it take to get a marriage license in California?

Marriage licenses are valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. If you do not get married within 90 days, the license will no longer be valid. You must purchase a new license. Many County Clerks in California perform civil marriage ceremonies in their offices.

Tip: Two separate appointments are required – one for the marriage license and another one for the actual ceremony. If you are anxious like me, get the license in advance (valid for 90 days from the date of issuance) or book at least an hour prior to the ceremony.

Tip: If you don’t need the photographer to be your witness, book wedding photographer just before the ceremony time so that you are able to utilize the photography coverage resourcefully.
